Bad Book Reviewers
Saturday, April 26, 2014 to Tuesday, May 06, 2014
  • http://tinyurl.com/y8kakux7I'm writing this as encouragement for authors who get dumbed down reviews from mindless readers. Even though I have over (200) five star reviews on my novels Blue Hole and the sequel River's Edge I still get a few reviews like the following. One said, "I haven't stated to read the book yet and not sure i will so I'm giving it one star. Another said, "Not sure if I was able to follow the story I've been on pain medicine, one star. A third said, "I didn't like the book but my husband and our son did, one star." I le ...continued...

  • Today we hit 89 degrees, no, not the temperature but 89 degrees north. We are now a little less than one degree away from the North Pole. We have traveled over 60 miles north from our start point. Keep in mind, this does not include any traveling we did moving every other direction to get around open leads, ice boulder fields, or pressure ridges, needless to say we have accomplished alot in the past 6 days (or was it 7 days? Hard to keep track). We are expecting one resupply to get us more fuel and food for the dogs, but we have a great team and everyone is motivated to push hard and get to ...continued...

understanding of cultural diversity issues.
Tuesday, January 31, 2017 to Friday, February 10, 2017
  • Question: “To what extent do my beliefs, prejudices or biases influence my thinking in terms of providing service in my profession or work?” I would say that my beliefs, prejudices, or biases have no influence in providing services in my work. I work in a hospital as a imaging assistant so, i see a lot of diversity and different beliefs. No matter what i will always give good quality care to patients, just like anyone deserves. Some examples from the quiz are: Question 10: if a family member speaks English as well as the patient&rsq ...continued...

A Rugby day-out in Dublin - lunch in the clubhouse and a view from the bar
Tuesday, October 01, 1985 to Sunday, October 01, 1995
  • A Rugby day-out in Dublin - lunch in the clubhouse and a view from the bar The agenda for the day commenced at about 12.30pm with pre-lunch drinks in the club bar. A gong was struck at 1.15pm. Members and their guests then moved to the function room for a fairly formal lunch. This was followed by, hopefully, short but witty speeches from the respective presidents of the home and away clubs. The lunch finished at two-forty-five – fifteen minutes before kick-off. The more enthusiastic supporters donned their overcoats and went to stand by the side of the pitch in order to give close, ...continued...

SAD The Life Story Was Not Started Earlier
Sunday, February 12, 2012
  • As Mark Twain once said, “there has never been an uninteresting life.” Hi Rolland,
Wanted to let you know that I have gotten your cousin Wave started writing her life story. I just have a few pages going but that is a start, isn't it? I thought I would send them to you when I get further along, this way you can tell me if ...continued...

Jesus' Return
Wednesday, October 15, 2014 to Saturday, October 25, 2014
  • This is taken from my first devotional book, Daily Walk with Jesus available on Amazon.com. Jesus’ Return Galatians 1:4 “Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out of this present evil age according to the will of our God and Father.” As the day of Jesus’ appearing in the sky draws nearer, we see a more definable difference in those who truly have Jesus as their Lord, and those who don’t. For those who have put their faith and trust in Jesus, there is special protection in this scripture even in calamity and a promise of delive ...continued...

At Last, A Girl
Wednesday, July 01, 1964 to Monday, July 01, 1974
  • At Last, A Girl Chicago, 1964 Priscilla H Wilson It is 1962 and Rodney and I are watching the news. We have two sons but yearn for a daughter. I long for another female in our family. The news highlights Chinese refugees streaming into Hong Kong. We suddenly express the same thought, “Why not adopt a little girl who has no family?” As I turn the news off, I stammer, “I hadn’t thought about adoption before. I think that is the only way we can have a daughter.” Rodney laughs. “Let’s find out what we need to do.” The State of Ill ...continued...

The Texas Wampus Cat is Born
Monday, October 24, 1955 to Sunday, October 24, 1965
  • My mother said I was a wampus cat. What a wampus cat is exactly, I can't tell you, and I doubt if Mom could either, but there you have it. A wampus cat. It brings to mind some sort of wild animal, like a bobcat or panther maybe. A wild animal isn't me, though, but wampus sounds kind like whopper, and to my ears it also brings to mind big. Maybe that early conditioning is why I still fight the battle of the bulge today. After all, if I'm a wampus cat, I must be big. Nothing like starting on the old self concept a little young. First 10 Years
Friday, April 30, 1965 to Wednesday, April 30, 1975
  • I had a best friend while we were living in Gold Hill. Her name was Gail Stevens. We were really close. She's part Native American. She told she was part Cherokee. One day while we were at recess, we decided to sneak off and go across the road over to the cemetary. To this day I'm stillnot sure why we did it, I guess we were just curios. Well we were walking around and came up to a shed. All of a sudden we heard a noise, it sounded like a ghost, being only 6 years old you would think that we were scared, well we weren't. Next thing we know the grounds keeper jumped out ...continued...
